VIRGINIA : DAY ONE

Here are some pictures from the first day of August Paul's big trip to Virginia. We had a quiet flight and a whole row to ourselves, so August slept through it all like a, uh, a baby.

He was such a good little boy!

Uncle John picked us up at the airport and we visited Aunt Grace and Cousin Kristin. Even though it was a hot day we sat outside and listened to cicadas for a while. We talked about all our plans for the weekend with Kristin.

When we went inside, little Gus played with Mr. Larry Butters on the living room floor.

And his Poppa peeked at Uncle John's Model A in the garage.

Gus tried out a new look before we left.

Before we went to stay with Cousin Jenna, August went to meet his Great-Grandmother. She was so excited to have a sweet little baby come to visit and we were so happy to see her hold him. We took lots of pictures of August and Grandmother together, and so did Kristin and Jenna - so there will be more posted later today!

What a lucky boy, to get to meet his Great-Grandmother!

Our Cousins bought us a tasty lunch afterwards and we went to Jenna's house.

That's where we met George, who has very special ears, and Ginger who wags her tail with her whole body. They were the sweetest dogs.

Coming up next : August visits Arlington Cemetery, and meets more Cousins, and lots of silly pictures and videos.
