MERRY CHRISTMAS
Oh, Gus had such a fun Christmas day. At Nana's house, there were lots of toys to play with ... and that was before he even got to the tree!
Whoops! Gus couldn't keep up with all the wrapping paper and bows and ribbon.
Welcome to the Gus Show! Tonight our guests will be TV star Cesar Romero and animal trainer Joan Embry.
There were too many toys to play with all at once - Gus is still discovering them.

SHOPPING
Gus went downtown and did his holiday shopping. It was a snowy, windy day, but lots of fun to see all the people and play at the library.

THE HATS
We have many hats. I've been meaning for awhile to show them all to you. This is by no means all of our hats, but it was all of the ones in the basket when I took the photos this morning. (Gus had to wear some of Papa's hats because Papa was at work).

EVIDENCE
You have already seen evidence that Gus likes to rearrange the cabinets, and "help" with the records, but here is indisputable proof that August is trying to destroy the house (with Moe's help, of course).
Here he is climbing out of the high chair:

Pulling the leaves off of plants:

And digging in the pots, of course:

Removing things from the walls:

Putting toilet paper all over the bathroom:

And doing his best to keep me from knitting:

And if you haven't seen what he does to books, well - let this photo tell all:

That's the cover to "Duck for President", a limited edition that we received in a box of cereal.
August and his little partner in crime Moe are truly little monsters. It's all we can do just to get through the day in one piece!
